The 81st Session will be rich with milestone events that will test our collective resolve ¡ª from addressing the existential threats of sea-level rise, to pandemic preparedness, to commemorating the Right to Development at forty, nuclear disarmament, and the Durban legacy at twenty-five. Each is more than a date on a calendar. Each is an opportunity to demonstrate that multilateralism can deliver concrete results.

Vision statement
The Session Calendar
Every meeting and engagement of the eighty-first session in one list, earliest first: the President’s own engagements, the meetings of High-Level Week, and the high-level and commemorative meetings, dialogues, briefings and conferences the General Assembly has mandated for the session. Each row cites the resolution or decision that mandates the meeting, where there is one, and links to the meeting’s own page where it has one.
Dates are as the mandate gives them, and no meeting shows a time of day. Where a mandate fixes no date, the period it sets is shown at the foot of the list and the day is announced in the Journal of the United Nations nearer the time. Meetings mandated for the eighty-second session and beyond are not listed. Status as at 29 September 2026.
The conference and meeting calendar of the United Nations is at . The daily programme of meetings at Headquarters is in the .

What appears on this page: the meetings of the General Assembly the President convenes or presides over — the general debate, the high-level and commemorative meetings the Assembly mandates by resolution, the informal consultations the Office convenes — and the President’s own engagements with Member States, observances and ceremonies. Meetings are listed once the Office has confirmed them, and by date only.
